The Sex Awards (October 9 in Hollywood) is the first adult awards show voted on entirely by consumers to be broadcast on a national TV network and I will be there!
Jessica Drake, exclusive Wicked Pictures star, will be the host for the evening. I am most excited to be able to support my favorite party buddy, Ron Jeremy. He is being honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. I am thrilled that he will get even more recognition on what he has contributed to the industry. Ron is one of the most recognized and well known porn stars in the industry. I remember the first time I saw him. I was at the Nine Inch Nails concert at the Wiltern. It was the last show of their tour so we knew it was going to be phenomenal. I was surrounded by the “who’s who” of LA…No Doubt, Tony Hawk, Penn & Teller, you name them and they were there but only one person in this entire crowd got a standing ovation and screaming applause. Ron Jeremy did. He walked in and worked his way to his seat. All of a sudden, everyone went nuts! Fans started running towards him for a photo and he was incredibly generous with all of them. How did they all see him yet no one else? No idea but that memory stayed with me. Fast forward to Viper Room. There he is outside, we start chatting, I tell him all about my website and clothing and he loves it. He autographed my friend (she was giddy about showing her mom!) and made her day. He told me about his recent surgery he was still recuperating from and started sharing funny stories only he could tell. The end of the evening was at Rainbow where he insisted I autograph a napkin for him for him to keep. Of course I had to write something crazy down, although I can’t really remember exactly what it was. Probably something about his dick or sex knowing me. He really is a good guy. I am trying to decide if I will surprise him that night or give him a heads up.
